FAQ's
Do I need experience?
Kickboxing is a martial art that combines punches, kicks, and footwork for fitness, self-defense, or competition. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels, whether you’re looking to get fit, learn new skills, or compete.
No prior experience is necessary! We offer beginner-friendly classes where you can learn the basics of kickboxing at your own pace.
Am I too old to start kickboxing?
it is never too late to start kickboxing. All of our classes are welcoming and supportive which makes starting with us much easier. We also have an over 50’s class if you are within that age group.
What should I wear to my first class?
Wear comfortable, breathable workout clothes like a t-shirt and gym shorts or leggings. We train barefoot so trainers won’t be required.
Do I need to bring any equipment to start?
For your first class, you usually don’t need any equipment—just bring water and a towel. Over time, you’ll need gloves, hand wraps, shin guards, and a mouthguard, which we can help you choose.
Is kickboxing safe?
Yes! Kickboxing is safe when practiced under the supervision of qualified instructors. We emphasize proper technique, controlled movements, and the use of protective gear to minimize risks.

How do I get involved in competitions?
Talk to your instructor! Once you’ve built the required skills and confidence, we can guide you through the process of training for and participating in local, national, or international competitions.

Sparring requires headgear, gloves, shin guards, a gum shield, and a groin guard (for men). Your instructor will provide specific recommendations for safe gear.

Kickboxing improves fitness, coordination, confidence, and discipline. It also teaches respect, focus, and self-defence skills in a safe and structured environment.
